Ok, I'll do a little intro. to this dream. Dave, Jeff, JT, Paul, Wes and I were playing RISK last night.
Dave and Wes, at one point just before, or shortly after, we started, were arguing about where certain countries where which were not labeled on the board. At one point they mentioned Bosnia.
ENTER DREAM STATE . . .
Apparently I am sitting at a table reading the newspaper, my sister Emily is also in the room doing something. So, I am reading this newspaper, but apparently when I read, I am actually seeing what is happening like I am watching CNN or something.
There is this group of troops, some special forces or something, Bosnia. They have very interesting uniforms. The uniforms are metal, basically the torso wears a knight's armor piece, the chest plate I think. And they wear some cloth over that. The only other thing I remember about their appearance is that they all seem to have hair-cuts similar to Guile in Street Fighter.
So I see this guys being interviewed while reading the newspaper. They apparently either ride around on horses or drive tanks around. They guys on horse seem to have swords as their weapons.
Another thing is, some of what these guys say seem to choke me up emotionally, though I really can't remember what it was, except one guy, and of course I don't know why this choked me up in the dream, besides the fact that it was a dream, and one of my dreams.
So I finishing reading the interviews and look up. My sister says some things, and I am hiding my emotions. Then I look down and started reading one last guys interview.
I suddenly see this guy, it's like one of those camera shots where he is in an "action sequence" sorta thing. He's driving his tank, but has his top half sticking out of the tank. He's married too.
He's on a street and just behind him is a fence, just a simple metal linked fence. He's talking about his wife and the beautiful things he sees. Then he suddenly mentions this, which I remember most clearly:
"But the thing that I see the most is this pair of boots hanging from the tree," at this point his eyes start to get teary eyed, "And... I know... I can never get them... because... I can't cross that fence," and he wipes under his eyes.
This brings a reaction out of me of almost bawling, but I hold it in. I do that kinda choke thing, where you make that nose in your throat or something when you hold back from crying. So I just look at the newspaper and almost cry.
BOOM BAM BANG........... ZAP POW
I wake up.
