Welp, I missed a few days. I thought about posting though, really I did. Packing up my computer and other junk because we be heading to A-Kon later this morning. It'll only be a 3 hour trip... uh oh.... 3 hour tour.... umm...
Worked my first night offically at the Drive-in... yep, simple stuff. And I've gotten a job offer to do on-site tech support, basically just installing hardware, for $25 an hour. Interesting possibility, and I'd still be able to work at the theatres.
Any ways, gotta pack my computer.

Dang it all, I got busy and haven't been able to do anything on a computer.
Good news though, the afterburner is installed on my Game Boy Advance, yeppie, now I can play it in any lighting condition. It totally rocks, and I like it lots. Erik and Rocky were the ones that put it in, I helped a little, but was kinda tired and fell asleep. It took them somewhere close to 8 hours, but they were being careful. I'm sure they will have a much faster time on Erik's Game Boy Advance.
Got a lot more built in the backyard. That's good, except I had to use my muscles, and that is always bad.
Ok, well I have work tonight, going to "learn" how to manage the drive-in so I can work Tuesday and Wednesday nights, I already know it's amazingly simple, but yeah, should be fun.
Time to go, need food.

I'm still here, really, I am. Just been busy with lots of stuff. Heather finally headed back yesterday, and arrived in Atlanta around 1:30am today. I've got pictures I need to upload of her, she doesn't want me to, but she can't stop me, muh hahahahaha.
I still haven't typed up that thing I wrote on the 16th, but oh well, prehaps I'll get it tonight.
Erik and I finished upgrading our first computer for pay and all that. It was fun, and easy, just had to wait for the parts to get shipped. My new tower arrived too, I'll take pictures of it or something. I like it a lot.
Well I have to go and build something in the backyard now with Kane, my sister's boyfriend.

Well today was interesting. It started off with me showing up at work at 8:45am, 15 minutes early. I started getting stuff ready, turning on lights, connecting to home office via the computer, ect. Then I go to look at how many people are working so I'll know how many registors I'll need. It's then that I notice all the other people scheduled at 9am have the 9 crossed out and replaced with 10:30. So I look up and notice that hte first show doesn't start at 10am, but rather at 11am. Apparently nobody decided to mention to me the fact that we were not showing the 10 and 10:30 movies anymore during the week. Of course, my schedule still said 9am, but naturally the other manager that was working that morning knew about this change, as he's the one who made it, and didn't show up till after 10:30. "you've been here since 8:45. . . oops", yeah oops is right!
Now, around 9:30ish a few customers attempt to open the front doors. Customers always seem to try and do this. They look in, see the lights off in Box Office (place where tickets are sold) and that no one is in the Box Office, so they think that if they come in something will happen. I especially love the ones that try every single one of the 14 front doors to see if just one might be open. Since people were already trying to come in and I wasn't planning on opening the doors for another hour, since I now knew the first show was at 11, I went and printed off a sheet that said this and had the show times for the entire day. Pretty nice of me, right? I go and place this paper on teh door, and then opened it to tell the pople waiting that our first show starts at 11. Immeadiatly one fo them says that the newspaper said 10am, I asked if he had read TODAY's paper, don't know why I bothered-they always say they did even if they didn't, and he said yes. I was like well I'm sorry, but our first show is at 11. Two of the guys said, "I can't see Star Wars at any other time, so looks like you just lost some money", yeah ok, let me go grovel at your feet for the combined $11 I could have gotten, maybe I'll just start up the entire theatre by myself JUST FOR YOU. Yeah, I don't think so, 11 bucks ins't going to hurt a buisness buck-o. And of course when other workers showed up, one of them had TODAY's, that's right, today's, not yesterday's or even the weekend paper, but today's, which had the ad for the show times that happen to say on the ad "Times good TODAY only!", and TODAY's ad had, amazingly, the correct showtimes with NO mention of a 10am show. But, to the guys credit, maybe he was confused and thought today was Sunday, or perhaps 1's sometimes look like 0's, or maybe even he saw the 10pm showtime, listed LAST, and thought the P in pm looked like an A.
This brings me to my point that customers are, by nature, idiots. I made up a phrase many years ago when I worked in the concession stand, "Customers are pretty much always wrong, but they'll buy more if they think they're right." Of course the occasional pothead that comes in will by anything you suggest. It's really simple for them. You just say, "Would you like some ____", and just fill that line in with anything you sell. Sometimes if you add an adj. it's even more likely. For example, instead of just hotdog, try juicy hotdog. Munchies... gotta love them.
Well, A-kon is only 9 days away, hopefully it will be good. Need to start getting my costume together. I'm going as Luigi, Erik is going as Mario and Brad is going as Dr. Mario.
Tommorrow I'll post something I wrote on the 16th, I've been to lazy to type it before now.

A lot of stuff seems to have happened since Friday's post. I'm not going to tell you most of it because it probably wouldn't interest you, being that it is my life and all.
I ran into Heather Davis while working. We ended up hanging out on Saturday after I worked from 7:40 am to about 10 am, yeah, that was fun, and watched Star Wars at 11am, which I liked a lot, Yoda rules! But yeah, so we hung out from basically 2pm till earlish Sunday. She was shopping for the first part of it and I was basically tagging along, then we eventually saw Ice Age at 7:30pm. After that we basically talked a lot....
Heather is a pretty cool gal , I actually wrote a poem concerning her about a year and half ago: HBD. It's an interesting poem, I just re-read it now. Brings a smile to my face actually, thinking about when I wrote it and all. Contains some special meaning there too, but anyway, I think I should write another one now.
See, now I'm wanting to get into my personal life a bit too much, and I'm kinda wanting to start to talk about other things in my news posts besides that, the internet doesn't need another internet diary.... umm, maybe I'll actuall do that though, make a little seperate thing for... ok any who.
I'm tired, have class in the Morning and work right afterwards.

Ok, I took away the banners from the main page, as you can see. If you click on a name, you'll get to still see them though.
Added Rocky, so he should start doing stuff, as soon as he figures out his html'ing skills again.
I worked from 9am to about 1pm for someone who was taking a test for some summer courses. Now I have to go back in at 5pm and work till close. Means more hours which equals more pay.
I told my dad about my grades, he was, umm..., not very pleased. I can understand him not being happy with my physics grade, but I'm just not that great in it, or I don't want to be, or whatever, I don't know. I should have done better I guess, I just sucked on the tests. I've already lost one of my scholarships, and I might lose my other one, which might hender my ability to attend TU next year. That would be another reason he isn't too pleased with my grade, b/c that's more money he has to stretch, actually If I keep going, it will be me paying the difference, but still, it is an aggrivation when the college I'm going to cost friggin' 20,000 a year.
There are two things I want to post that I wrote up, but I'll do that tonight, hopefully.
Anyway, gotta get ready for work... again.

Well it is the morning after Star Wars. It was quite interesting. I got a few pictures of junk, and the line that ended up going more then half-way around the theatre, plus the 200 to 300 VIP's that were upstairs. All five of our theatres sold-out, not too big of a suprise.
So, I still haven't seen it, and now I work from 12 to 8, got home after 3am last night too. Now I'm taking a shower and heading off to work again.
I didn't recieve any injury from customers, no mad rushes, we kept it orderly. However, after the movie got out, one of my friends was on the floor, and suddenly rolled into my leg, which I had my knee locked so my entire leg was straight. That hurt, and now my knee is sore this morning. This friend was actually some one who is going to be writing stuff soon, hopefully.
Ok, I have something I'll be posting, but I got to finish writing it first. I'm off to get ready to work some more now.

Today, well technically tommorrow, but tonight at 12:01am, that's one minute past midnight, Star Wars is going to start showing. No, I am not a freak that is going to go and wait in line for hours upon hours upon hours so I can get a good seat. I'm working tonight and will be dealing with all those freaks ^_^.
Plus, I know that it doesn't really matter where you are in line, since we're just grouping a bunch of people together and then throwing them into a theatre, once it fills up, start putting people into another theatre. But I'm sure no one really cares about that.
So I'm working today from 3pm to 3am, gotta love Star Wars.
Ok, I'm taking a shower and then most likely heading in to work.

I decieded to finally change the layout of the main page, as I'm sure you can see. It will be changing even more shortly, though. I'll be messing with what is right above 'JP's News', but I have to mess with another section first.
Dang it, I got paged, then called the person, and now I forgot what else I was going to say. Grrr...
Ok, well, hopefully I'll start accelerating along with this site.

When I get back, NO MORE COLLEGE.... just work and Tulsa Tech A+ class... waiiiitt.... dang it.
I will hopefully have more time to do junk though... hopefully.

I wrote a poem just now. I'm not entirely sure what brought it on, or what it means. I just know that I typed it in a very short time, prehaps I'll edit it, prehaps I'll never look upon it again. See what you think:
Love is a terrible thing.
It strips us down,
Tears us apart,
And rebuilds us,
It is the foundation of life,
The source of pain,
And the meaning of existence,
Love,
Intricately associated with the heart,
But in truth,
It is the well spring of our essence,
Not something to pump life,
But rather to draw it in,
Purify,
Make clean that which is around it,
And gush out to all that lies near by.
Love is a terrible thing.
It brings light to the darkest of hours,
Hope to the most dissolute,
And warmth to the coldest of souls,
The well spring of one can replenish that of another,
A few drops,
A few drips
Can dampen the driest,
Most brittle of wells,
And cause a spring to start there,
Where none thought possible before.
Love is a terrible thing.
It lifts the soul of one,
Causes them to better one's self,
Allows one to live,
Instead of die,
When one is born,
It is not that they start to die,
But rather,
They start to soak up love
In an attempt to love others,
A baby is the truest form of a well spring of love,
It's ultimate trust,
A sponge of unlimited saturation,
Absorbing everything it can,
And gushing out with all its might,
Drops and drips,
Spraying out like a whale coming up for air,
Causing a rain of water outward,
And then gulping in the air inward.
Love is a terrible thing,
It can stop feuds,
End quarrels,
And cause the absence of peace,
Always stirring up the air,
Always moving,
Always there,
Love is a terrible thing.
Causing butterflies in a stomach,
A heart to race,
Childish giggles,
Memories so happy,
So vivid,
So vivacious . . . as if you can reach out and hold onto,
Re living,
Re feeling,
Re making,
Re alizing . . .
Love is a terrible thing.
I wish to embrace it,
I wish it near,
I wish to experience it,
Love is a terrible thing.
Where
is
this
love?

Ok, I'm studying for finals, taking a break and posting a message.
I added a link in the links section to my friend's band site: Maze Craze
Well, this week should be fun. I have 3 finals(fortunatly that's all), however also this week I start some classes at Tulsa Tech, I have class for 5 weeks on Mondays and Wednesdays. Here's the kicker though, I have a final exam for college on Monday and Wednesday from 8am-11am, and class on those days from 9am-1am.... nice ain't it. Most likely the exam won't take me an hour, but I'll still probably be late for my first two classes. Not something I like to start out with in a new class.
That's it, back to studying, no computer...

Yeah i know, I've been a lazy bum. So what. Technically I have an excuse, I have finals, so I'm studying for them, really, I am, b/c I study all the time... so I'm studying...and... can't do stuff... to the webpage... yeah........
But that is the real reason Erik hasn't been doing anything with his site. He promises to be doing more to it once he is done with all his exams.
I'm going to be seeing Spiderman tommorrow. It had better be good is all I have to say. Seeing the 11:30am showing, would be the 10:30am, but Zach complained, and we wanted to accomidate Rocky, a possible new writer for the site, so he could see it too, with us.
Ok, well, I'm going to possibly edit photos and then go to bed.
